What We Believe

Summary of Basic Beliefs

The Word of God: The Bible is the Word of God. It is without error, without contradiction, and the only authority for faith and practice. It is verbally inspired by God. (2 Timothy 3:15, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

The Nature of the Trinity: There is only one God. He exists in three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 3:16-17, 28:18-19)

Jesus Christ: The Lord Jesus Christ is God, born of a virgin, and the one and only Savior of mankind. There is no other way of salvation but only by putting your faith on His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. (Matthew 1:18-25, Acts 4:10-12, John 14:6)

The Church: We believe that God established the church for the fellowship of the saints, for the proclamation of the Good News, and for the observance of the Holy Ordinance.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit: We believe in the complete gifts of the Holy Spirit and that they are still in existence today as He chooses to determine the gifts of every believer.

The Return of Christ: We believe in the visible, personal, and pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ and in the rapture of the church. (1 Corinthians 12:1-31)

Eternity: We believe in literal Heaven for the saved and literal Hell for the unsaved.

We hold Scripture as our authority in how we live and serve.

We embrace Christianity as revealed in the Old and New Testament and as affirmed in the Apostles’ and Nicene creeds.
